Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams is
a renowned 18-year-old furniture manufacturer best known
for comfortable, stylish and value-conscious slip covered
and upholstered furniture, case goods, lighting, rugs,
accessories, as well as an exclusive Fine Art Photography
collection by photojournalist Tipper Gore.
From the beginning, Mitchell Gold and
Bob Williams set out to create a company with a different
mindset. One that would take care of its employees
and customers in a way no other had. As a result, they
have raised the bar and set a standard in the traditional
furniture industry for others to follow.
Today, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams
employ over 700 people from their factory headquarters
in Taylorsville, NC, where they operate from a state-of-the-art
600,000 square foot facility. The company has
received numerous design awards and accolades from the
media. Most recently, they were selected as one
of 26 “Entrepreneurs We Love” from Inc. magazine,
and they have been the subject of many profile stories
in publications such as TIME, Fast Company, The
Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times.
Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams products
have been featured in virtually every shelter and lifestyle
publication of note. The company’s designs
have also been centerpieces on the sets for television
shows such as Sex and The City, Will & Grace, and
Six Feet Under and for Cashmere Mafia,
a new television series created by Darren Starr which
will air on ABC this fall, and are used in retail concept
locations for Starbucks. Additionally, Barnes & Noble
sells some of the Company’s leather chairs through
their bookstores.
