Bang & Olufsen (B&O) is a Danish company that designs and manufactures high-end consumer electronics including audio products, television sets, and telephones. The company was founded in 1925 by Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen, whose first significant innovation was a radio that worked with alternating current (AC), when most radios then in use were run from accumulator batteries.
Products from B&O are intended to reflect cutting edge industrial design, in appearance, function and operation.
"The Farm," Bang & Olufsen's headquarters in Struer, Denmark, seems like something lifted from a Stanley Kubrick dreamscape. Its smooth, clean lines of glass, metal, and dark stone rising out of the weathered fields suggest a futuristic utopia emerging from a hopelessly arcane terrestrial existence.
It's the perfect backdrop for Bang & Olufsen's line of visually stunning, supremely distinctive products. It unveils only four or five each year, like an $19,000 pair of speakers and a $20,000 50-inch brushed-aluminum plasma television so striking that customers joke they prefer to watch it when it's off.
For 80 years, groundbreaking aesthetics coupled with sci-fi features, such as a CD player that opens with the wave of a hand, or self-equalizing speakers, have given B&O products a magical quality that transcends the stylistic comings and goings of competitors. In the eyes of B&O's brain trust, making that happen boils down to a shocking, and shockingly simple, strategy: Design always wins.
Goyard is a French malletier (trunkmaker) founded in 1853, now currently the oldest trunk maker in existence.
La Maison Goyard was founded in 1853 in Paris. Edmé Goyard worked as a malletier then known as Maison Morel (founded in 1792), which his son, François bought out in 1853. At that time, the company was renamed Goyard.
In the past, the Grand Duke of Russia, the Maharajah de Kapurthala, The Duke and Duchess of Windsor and many aristocratic families, all travelled with Goyard luggage. And their special orders have always been an important part of Goyard’s reputation.
Goyard is known for its hard-sided trunks, and small accessories. All pieces are covered in a signature hand-painted patented Chevron canvas made of cotton, linen, and hemp and displayed in various colors. The chevron canvas was created in 1892, traditionally produced in black and red.
Goyard is renowned for monogramming the durable, lightweight canvas with the initials of their customers upon request. To this day, Goyard produces special orders and bespoke pieces, made to order in Carcassonne, France.
Other famous clients have included Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Madonna, Karl Lagerfeld, Gregory Peck, Pablo Picasso, Gary Cooper, Debra Messing and John D. Rockefeller.
Currently, Goyard is sold in fewer than fifteen locations worldwide, including three freestanding boutiques in Paris, San Francisco and London.
The U-boat left hook watch was designed in the 1940’s in the “officine fontana” laboratory of high precision instruments and components. Ilvo Fontana designed a professional wrist watch specific for pilots.
Great sturdiness. Immediate reading under all light conditions and high precision.The crown positioned to the left allowed practical advantages such as easier movement of the wrist and security.
The project was not completed for commercialization. Due to the instability in Europe at that time…but a first batch of watches was produced. In 1999, Italo Fontana decided to resurrect his grandfather’s project, from which he took his inspiration and developed a modern day time piece, combining a unique identity with a near dimension in time.
U-boat watches have been refreshed and redesigned for almost ten years. Our watches are equipped with high-caliber ETA movements like the valjoux and the valgranges.

Goyard San Francisco has the pleasure to present the Goyard scarves. In the US, they will be available in exclusivity at the San Francisco boutique until Spring 2012 and will then be part of the brand's permanent collection.
The first scarf created by La Maison Goyard appeared in the 50's. In 2011, La Maison Goyard decided to launch a new drawing by respecting the same process of manufacturing (printing on silk) and keeping the same dimensions (90 cm x 90 cm).
The scarves represent the Goyard chevron canvas in 10 different shades: black, navy, sky blue, green, white, yellow, orange, red, burgundy and pink. The scarf is $455.
A new version of acclaimed novelty, U-51 Rattrapante, but only seen from outside. Italo plays with colors using small gold details over the colossal 51 mm in diameter black case, not to mention the impressive crown cap and pushers. From the inside he changes mechanisms turning the watch into a Chrono for a limited edition of only 99 items in perfect U-BOAT style.

U-1942 and the U-42 are with no doubt based on a watch developed by Italo Fontana’s grandfather for the Italian Navy. At BASELWORLD 2010 Italo unveiled the U-42 watch inspiring awe amongst U-BOAT watch enthusiasts. The limited edition U-42 was based in fact on the U-1942 but scaled down to a 53 mm. One year after, same place, Italo introduces the chrono version in same size 53 and in a bit smaller.size 47 both in black dial and limited edition of 999 pieces.

Brown leather handcrafted, width 23/23, and fitted with a titanium tongue buckle. For the 53mm version, strap with plate in titanium with tag for personalization.
All engravings on this piece are carried out by mechanical pantograph, including the brass dial with plate located, which is galvanised and finished with a bright enamel paste. The pressure resistance of this piece is tested in an autoclave at 40 bar before the final assembly is completed. The winding crown was built in two parts: one is attached to the movement stem whilst the other is hinged to it with a pivot. This gives a flexible joint configuration which allows the crown to protrude considerably from the watch itself for winding and setting, yet returning it to a protected, hidden position - diminishing the side clutter when in action.
The water-tight crown protection attached to the stem is assured by a clipping gasket in energised Polytetrafluoroethylene and by an O-RING twin-arrangement.
The dial is made with a slab in brass. All engravings on this piece are carried out by mechanical pantograph, including the brass dial which is galvanized and finished with a bright enamel paste.

The 1001 designation is symbolic both for the 1001 limited run per color as well as each watch being water resistant to 1001 meters. Unveiled last year, this time the Classico U-1001 comes in two separate colorways: Blue and Orange and it is slightly reduced in size with a diameter of 47 mm. The U-BOAT U-1001 is a watch that pays tribute to Mr. Fontana’s passion for diving offering a bold, clear, technical design reminiscent of high tech instruments.
